Courtesy Call by Centre for Instructor and Advanced Skill Training (CIAST)

10 October 2024 – Mr. Anwar Udzir, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Malaysia in Japan, received a courtesy visit from the delegation of the Centre for Instructor and Advanced Skill Training (CIAST), led by Mr. Ts. A. Rahmad bin Ngah, Head of the Skills Instructor Development Programme. The delegation was in Japan for a working visit focused on enhancing the quality of teaching and learning methodologies for TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) instructors, with a particular emphasis on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

 

During the meeting, both parties discussed the potential of AI in revolutionizing vocational training, with CIAST expressing interest in adopting Japan's advanced AI technologies to modernize teaching practices and enhance instructor competencies in Malaysia. The conversation also explored collaborative opportunities between Malaysia and Japan to enhance TVET programs, aiming to equip instructors with cutting-edge skills that meet the evolving demands of the global workforce.
