7 October 2025 – H.E. Dato’ Seri Haji Mustafar bin Haji Ali, Board of Member of the Board of Directors, Malaysian Integrity Institute (IIM) paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan. He was accompanied by two (2) IIM’s research officials.
During the Meeting, H.E. Dato’ Seri Haji Mustafar briefly explained the roles of IIM and its initiatives to reinforce a culture of integrity and ethics across the Malaysian public and private sector as well as Malaysian society as a whole, including the development of Malaysia’s National Integrity Culture Strategy (SPIN 2025 -2030). The IIM delegation also were able to engage in dialogue with the Embassy’s staff to learn how integrity culture could be strengthened at both national and international levels.
The visit to Japan is anticipated to facilitate direct observation on best practices in integrity culture, governance and accountability. The IIM delegation is scheduled to meet with several other Japanese relevant institutions throughout their stay in Japan to understand how integrity is embedded in their education, community initiatives and national policies.
