16 October 2023 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Toshiya Nakahara, President and CEO of JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration Corporation, one of the principal operating companies of the ENEOS Group – Japan's largest energy, resources and materials conglomerate. Also present were Mr. Shinji Oka, Executive Officer, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Business Division 1 as well as Mr. Manabu Oizumi, Group Manager, Business Management Group 1, Business Division 1 (Malaysia & Vietnam).
During the meeting, Mr. Toshiya explained the company’s involvement in the exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas in Sarawak since 2003. H.E. Ambassador Dato’ applauded JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration Corporation continued support and hoped that the company will further expand its activities in Malaysia.
