3 April 2023 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, received a courtesy call by H.E. Peiman Seadat, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Japan.
During the call, both Ambassadors discussed the state of bilateral relations between the two countries and committed to work closely to deepen existing ties. H.E. Ambassador Dato’ took this opportunity to applaud the restoration of Tehran-Riyadh’s diplomatic ties.
Malaysia-Iran bilateral relationship was established in 1957. Both countries are also members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
