12 September 2024 – Mr. Thomas Mathew, Group CEO of TalentCorp, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan. Mr. Mathew was accompanied by Mr. Nazrul Aziz, Group Chief Strategy Officer and Ms. Hashira Md. Drus, Vice President II, Malaysian Global Talent. Mr. Mathew and his team were in Tokyo to participate in the Malaysia-Japan Visionaries Conference (MJVC), from 14-16 September 2024 at the University of Tokyo.
During the meeting, Mr. Mathew briefed the Ambassador on TalentCorp's initiatives to strengthen Malaysia’s talent ecosystem and its efforts to attract and retain highly skilled Malaysians working abroad. The Ambassador commended TalentCorp’s work and expressed his support for their mission to bridge global talent networks. They also discussed the importance of fostering stronger ties between Malaysia and Japan in talent development, particularly in sectors such as technology, education, and innovation.
