1 June 2023 – Mr Anwar Udzir, Deputy Chief of Mission received a courtesy call by the winner of the National Science Challenge (NSC) 2022 from SMJK Jit Sin, Penang. The students – Nah Wayne, Soo Yi Xiang, and Chong Yong Zhi were accompanied by their coach teacher, Ms Winny Low Yen Teng and the Chairman of the organising committee, Assoc. Prof Dr Hamimah Sheikh Abdul Kadir. Also present was Mr Imran Yusoff, Councillor of the Human Resource Development.
NSC 2022 Grand Final was held on 20 October 2022 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with the theme “Sustainable Future through Planetary Health Based on Science, Technology and Innovation (STI)”. NSC is one of the initiatives under the Akademi Sains Malaysia (ASM) that was introduced to cultivate a culture of excellence in science, technology, and innovation among school students. The Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo would like to congratulate SMJK Jit Sin and extend our best wishes to all the students who won the NSC 2022 in their future endeavours.
