15 July 2025 – The Miyoshi Town Educational Board organised an online lecture involving 150 students from five schools in Miyoshi Town, namely Miyoshi Elementary School, Fujikubo Elementary School, Kamitome Elementary School, Karasawa Elementary School, and Chikumazawa Elementary School.
During the session, Mr. Jeffry Meyer, First Secretary (Information and Public Relations) of the Embassy of Malaysia in Japan, delivered a presentation highlighting Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity and harmonious multicultural coexistence. The students were introduced to Malaysia’s ethnic groups, languages, traditional attire, and cuisine through visuals and storytelling. At the end of the lecture, the students participated enthusiastically in an interactive quiz, which helped reinforce their understanding of Malaysia in a fun and engaging manner.
The online lecture is part of an annual public diplomacy initiative by Miyoshi Town Educational Board aimed at fostering international awareness and cultural exchange among young Japanese students. The Embassy of Malaysia is honoured to contribute to this meaningful programme and looks forward to continuing its collaboration with the Miyoshi Town Educational Board in the future.
