As part of its public diplomacy efforts, the Embassy of Malaysia conducted an outreach programme at Nakano City Dai-2 Junior High School. Ms. Siti Noralia Mustaza, First Secretary, represented the Embassy and delivered a 50-minute presentation to around 100 third-year students.
The session was designed to enhance students’ awareness of Malaysia’s cultural diversity, multi-ethnic society, and its active engagement at both the regional and international levels.
Throughout the presentation, students gained insights into Malaysia’s historical background, cultural traditions, and unique multicultural fabric. Particular emphasis was placed on the principles of harmony, tolerance, and mutual respect that shape Malaysian society. As part of the interactive segment, students were introduced to simple Malay expressions, which generated enthusiasm and sparked interest in learning more about Malaysia.
The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, encouraging lively participation from the audience. The engagement reflected the value of educational and cultural exchanges in promoting closer ties and deeper understanding between the youth of Malaysia and Japan.
