On 16 July 2024, His Excellency Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, officiated the Soft Launching Ceremony of the Malaysia Fair 2024 Tokyo, scheduled to take place from 2 to 3 November 2024 at Toyosu Park and Urban Dock Lalaport Toyosu, Tokyo. The Malaysia Fair 2024 Tokyo will be Malaysia’s largest event in Japan and one that is dedicated to showcasing Malaysia's rich culture and heritage under the theme "All About Malaysia."
In his remarks, Ambassador Dato’ Shahril expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all corporate partners for making the fourth edition of Malaysia Fair 2024 Tokyo possible. He also warmly welcomed potential sponsors from Malaysia and Japan to participate in this significant event. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of the fair in further strengthening the robust ties between Malaysia and Japan and expressed his hope that it would pave the way for greater collaboration between the two nations in the future. “The event will act as a ‘mini-Malaysia Pavilion’ towards the World Expo Osaka 2025”, he added.
This year’s event is set to build on the success of previous editions with a goal of attracting over 50,000 visitors. With its expanded scale, numerous participants and exhibitors from Malaysia are expected, offering attendees a chance to experience authentic Malaysian content and interactions.
Visitors to Malaysia Fair 2024 Tokyo will have the opportunity to ‘see, touch, and eat’ the best of Malaysia. The event will showcase folk dances, music, Malaysian gourmet cuisine, tropical fruits, and immersive cultural experiences, providing a taste of Malaysia right in the heart of Tokyo.
