25 January 2025 – The Embassy of Malaysia in Japan, once again took part in the Tokyo Tower Arts Festival VIII, held at the Main Observation Deck of Tokyo Tower. Organised by the Cultural Sending Promotion Center (CSPC), a non-profit organisation in Japan, the festival aims to foster cultural exchanges and strengthen international collaboration through music.
This year, Malaysia was proudly represented by the Persatuan Pencinta Muzik Ukulele Malaysia (PPMUM), featuring 26 talented ukulele players aged between 9 and 62. Their lively performance of Malay folk songs and contemporary pieces, captivated both local and international audiences, bringing a dynamic musical experience to one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks. In addition to the musical showcase, the Embassy, in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia Tokyo, set up an exhibition booth highlighting Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage.
With an overwhelming response from the audience, Malaysia’s participation in the festival once again reinforced its cultural charm and strengthened people-to-people connections between Malaysia and Japan.
