10-12 October 2024 – H.E. Dato’ Seri Mohd Sayuthi Bin Bakar, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Costs of Living (KPDN), led a delegation to Tokyo from 10 to 12 October 2024 in conjunction with the Malaysia Fair – Taste of Malaysia, held at AEON Makuhari, Tokyo.
During the visit, the Secretary-General met with the Agriculture Counsellor's Office (ACO Tokyo) and MATRADE Tokyo to explore opportunities for expanding trade, with a focus on agricultural products and consumer goods. A dinner was also hosted, attended by H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, Datuk Iskandar Sarudin, Chairman of AEON Co. (M) Bhd, Mr. Akio Yoshida, Director, President & Representative Executive Officer of AEON Co. Ltd., and representatives from the AEON Group.
The Malaysia Fair – Taste of Malaysia took place across five AEON branches, including AEON Mall Minamisuna, AEON Mall Style Shinonome, AEON Mall Style Himonya, AEON Mall Narita, and AEON Kansai, featuring 132 SKUs over five days.
