On 23 April 2026, H.E. Ambassador Mohd Adli Abdullah, accompanied by other officers from the Embassy visited Kazakhstan-British Technical University (KBTU) in Almaty.
The delegation met with the Rector, Mr. Maratbek Gabdullin, and his team, where discussions focused on strengthening academic collaboration, particularly in engineering, technology, and student mobility.
The visit also included a tour of the university’s facilities. At the end of the session, two out of four students from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), currently on exchange at KBTU, joined for a photo opportunity.
To date, Malaysian universities collaborating with KBTU include Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), and INTI International University (INTI).
