On 3 March 2026, H.E. Ambassador Mohd Adli Abdullah signed the Book of Condolence at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Astana following the passing of the sixth Vice President of Indonesia, the late/Almarhum General TNI (Ret.) Try Sutrisno (15 November 1935 – 2 Mac 2026) who passed away in Jakarta. Upon arrival, H.E. the Ambassador was received by Madam Firma Agustina, Chargé d’Affaires a.i.,together with other officers of the Embassy.
The Embassy of Malaysia extends its deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, as well as to the Government and the people of Indonesia. Malaysia will always remember the late General Try Sutrisno’s contributions and leadership as a distinguished statesman who consistently called for issues between Malaysia and Indonesia to be addressed with wisdom, mutual respect, and a spirit of brotherhood. His views and efforts helped foster harmonious relations between the two neighbouring nations.
