On 15 March 2026, His Excellency Ambassador Mohd Adli Abdullah and First Secretary observed the republican referendum process in Astana as part of the programme extended to members of the diplomatic corps.
The visit provided an opportunity to observe the voting procedures and public participation during the referendum in Kazakhstan. Former President Nursultan Nazarbayev was also seen casting his vote.
The Embassy appreciates the opportunity extended by the authorities of Kazakhstan for members of the diplomatic community to observe the referendum process.
