A group of Malaysian companies has attended the Kazakhstan 2nd International Halal Expo that was held on 19-21 October 2011 in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan. The Malaysian companies, Halagel (M) Sdn Bhd, Warisan Asal Sdn Bhd, Coffee Omega Sdn Bhd and Biespro (M) Sdn Bhd are among 20 foreign companies that participated in the expo.
In addition, H.E. Dato’ Ahmad Rasidi Hazizi was given the honor to officiate the expo together with Kazakhstan’s Halal Industry Association President, Mr. Marat Sarsenbayev and a representative from the Ministry of Agriculture and "Nur Otan" People's Democratic Party of Kazakhstan.
The Kazakhstan 2nd International Halal Expo 2011 is an excellent platform for Malaysian companies to introduce Malaysian made product in Kazakhstan and throughout the CIS region.
