On 22 April 2026, H.E. Ambassador Mohd Adli Abdullah attended the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair (KITF) 2026 in Almaty.
As the largest tourism exhibition in Central Asia, KITF serves as a key platform for industry stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, explore new markets, and promote global destinations.
Held from 22–24 April 2026, Malaysia’s participation this year is further strengthened with the presence of tourism stakeholders and education partners, including Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), reflecting a whole-of-sector approach in promoting Malaysia as a destination for both travel and higher education.
The Malaysian Pavilion was officially launched and graced by Mr. Aidyn Kapashev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Industry under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with H.E Ambassador Mohd Adli Abdullah, YBhg. Datuk Ahmad Shalimin Ahmad Shaffie, the Chairman of EMGS, and YBhg. Datuk Seri Ahmad Farid Ridzuan, Advisor to EMGS.
Participating Malaysian organisations include key tourism industry players and higher education institutions, creating opportunities for business engagement, academic collaboration, and people-to-people exchanges in line with the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
