THE 4TH MEETING OF SPEAKERS OF EURASIAN COUNTRIES’ PARLIAMENTS UNDER THE THEME “GREATER EURASIA: DIALOGUE, TRUST, PARTNERSHIP”
23–24 SEPTEMBER 2019
The Fourth Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments was hosted by the Government of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan from 23 to 24 September 2019. Speakers of Parliaments from a total of 65 European and Asian countries, including Malaysia, and their delegations participated in the Meeting. This is Malaysia’s first ever participation in this Meeting.
Malaysia was led by YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Mohamad Ariff bin Md Yusof Speaker of the House of Representatives. The other members of delegation comprised YB Nga Kor Ming, Deputy Speaker and three Members of Parliament namely YB Datuk Dr. Hasan bin Baharom, YB Tuan Jonathan bin Yasin and YB Tuan Haji Hasbi bin Habibollah.
While in Nur-Sultan, Tan Sri Speaker and his delegation took the opportunity to meet with Malaysians residing in Nur-Sultan over a luncheon hosted by Ambassador at Rumah Malaysia.
