On 7 September 2015, the Embassy received a delegation from Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM), which undertook a working visit to Kazakhstan from 6 to 10 September 2015.
YBhg. Professor Dato’ Dr. Musa Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of USIM was accompanied by Professor Dr. Roshada Hashim, Director of USIM ‘Alamiyyah; Associate Professor Dr. Adnan Mohamed Yusoff, Dean, Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies; Associate Professor Dr. Amir Shaharuddin, Dean, Faculty of Economics and Muamalat; Dr. Muhammad Khairi Mahyuddin, Head of Da’wah and Management Programme, Faculty of Leadership and Management; and Assistant Registar, Mr. Faizuddin Omar.
During their working visit to Kazakhstan, the delegation visited several universities to explore possibilities of bilateral cooperations such as exchange programmes and joint research. They also met local religious committees to exchange views in areas of mutual interest.
Founded in 1997, USIM pledge to produce Islamic leaders and become a center of excellence by integrating Naqli (revealed) and Aqli (human) knowledge to transform ummah and humanity towards a better world and aims to position Malaysia as a major model of Muslim countries in the world.
