His Excellency Ambassador ILANGO KARUPPANNAN hosted ‘Perjumpaan 1Malaysia’ for the first quarter of the year on Friday, 28 March 2014 at the Malaysian Embassy in Beirut. The event was attended by more than 30 Malaysians including several expatriates working for YTL Power Services and Malaysian troops serving in the UNIFIL.
The main objective of the event was to exchange views on the political and security developments in Lebanon as well as Syria. The Ambassador also took the opportunity to brief the attendees on the latest updates of the MH370 Search and Rescue (SAR) operations. The event was also served to bid farewell to one of YTL staff who has completed his duty in Lebanon.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the attendees for their presence and hoped that the event could strengthen the camaraderie among the Malaysians. All the attendees were served with various Malaysian as well as local dishes and delicacies.
