His Excellency Ambassador ILANGO KARUPPANNAN hosted ‘Perjumpaan 1Malaysia’ for the third quarter of the year on Saturday, 31 August 2013 at the Malaysian Embassy in Beirut. The event was also to celebrate our 56th National Day which falls on the same of our gathering. More than 40 Malaysians including several expatriates working for YTL Power Services and Malaysian troops serving in the UNIFIL attended the event.
The Ambassador briefed the meeting on the security situation in Lebanon particularly in the light of the threat of military strike on Syria and the increasing number of security incidents in Beirut, Tripoli and southern part of Lebanon.
Ambassador expressed gratitude to the attendees for their presence and hoped that the event could strengthen the camaraderie among the Malaysians. All the attendees were served with various Malaysian as well as local dishes and delicacies.
