Ambassador’s Courtesy Call on Lebanon’s Minister of Public Works and Transportation

 

His Excellency Ambassador Ilango Karuppannan paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Ghazi Aridi, Minister of Public Works and Transportation of Lebanon on Tuesday, 20 September 2011 at the latter’s office in Fayadyeh, Beirut. Ambassador congratulated the latter on his appointment as the Minister of Public Works and Transportation under Prime Minister Najib Mikati’s government.

 

Several issues were discussed during the courtesy call which lasted 30 minutes. The discussion between both sides touched various issues such as the Parliamentary Committee for Electoral Reform particularly concerning the proportional representation, electricity plan as well as the latest development in Syria. The Minister also expressed hope to visit Malaysia in the future.
