The Embassy of Malaysia in Beirut participated in the opening of the MTCP 2025 Training: Capacity Building for Palestinian Healthcare Providers in Lebanon, held on 29 July 2025. Organised by MERCY Malaysia with Al-Shifaa Association and supported under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP), the initiative reflects Malaysia’s commitment to humanitarian solidarity and development.
Mr Johan Arief, CDA a.i. of the Embassy, delivered the opening remarks, reaffirming Malaysia’s support for the Palestinian people. He highlighted the need to strengthen health systems and equip over 100 frontline workers with skills in trauma care, infection control, maternal health, and psychosocial support. This training shows Malaysia’s focus on partnerships that build resilience and promote inclusive healthcare.
