His Excellency Ambassador ILANGO KARUPPANNAN received a delegation from the Jinan University led by the Vice President of the International Academic Affairs of Jinan University, Dr. Abed Yakan. Jinan University is a private university located in Tripoli, north Lebanon.
During the meeting, Dr. Abed expressed hope to attract more Malaysian students to study at the Jinan University. Among the areas of study was in Arabic language. He also briefed Ambassador about the collaboration established by Jinan University with several universities in Malaysia including the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and University Utara Malaysia (UUM) in the field of education. The Ambassador welcomed the ideas and initiatives to expand cooperation and hoped that more Malaysian students would further their studies at Jinan University in the future.
