H.E Ilango Karuppannan, the Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to Lebanon paid a courtesy call on H.E Fouad Siniora, former Prime Minister of Lebanon on 18 February 2010 at the latter's office. During the meeting, various issues of interest to Malaysia and Lebanon were discussed, especially on the Lebanese Smart Card initiative which was H.E Fouad Siniora?s brainchild during his stint as the Prime Minister.
H.E Fouad Siniora also gave his assurance to render assistance in order to further promote bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. The courtesy call was also attended by YBhg Datuk Omar Jundi, the Malaysian Honorary Consul-General.
