His Excellency Ambassador ILANGO KARUPPANNAN hosted a dinner for the Malaysian trade delegation led by Dato’ Edward Jules Savarimuthu and Cypriot trade delegation led by Mr. Andys Agathocleous at the Embassy on Sunday, 7 April 2013. The Malaysian and Cypriot delegations were in Beirut to discuss and explore business opportunities between the two countries.
At Ambassador’s request, Mr. Andys Agathocleous had organized a Cyprus trade delegation comprising leading companies in interior decorating, property development and consultants to meet with the Malaysian delegation.
The dinner was also attended by the daughter of the President of Cyprus, Mrs. Ino Misirli and her husband who were visiting Beirut together with the Cypriot delegation. Honorary Consul General of Malaysia Datuk Omar Jundi also attended the event.
In his short remarks, HE Ambassador encouraged both sides to explore more business opportunities and establish close contacts to promote more trade and business activities.
