DONATION TO THE PALESTINIAN REFUGEES

The Ambassador of Malaysia, HE ILANGO KARUPPANNAN gave a cheque for USD20,000 on behalf of the Perdana Global Peace Foundation, to the National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training at a ceremony at the Embassy of Malaysia in Beirut.

 

The Perdana Global Peace Foundation based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was founded by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed, former Prime Minister of Malaysia. The main aim of the Foundation is to promote global peace.

 

The money was raised by the Perdana Global Peace Foundation from the people of Malaysia through public donation, to alleviate the sufferings of the Palestinian refugees from Syria in Lebanon.

 

The cheque was received by Mr.Kassem Mohammad Aina on behalf of the National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training. The priority at present is to alleviate the plight of around 625 Palestinian families from Syria who are in need of food and warm clothing.

 

Also present at the ceremony was Datuk OmarJundi, Honorary Consul General, staff of the Embassy and invited guests and press.
