Amel Association International paid a courtesy visit to Mr Johan Arief Jaafar, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, at the Embassy of Malaysia in Beirut, Lebanon. The meeting offered a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and explore ways to support communities in need across Lebanon.
The Amel team, including Dr Zeina Mohanna, Executive Board Member, Ms Fanny Bonassies, Assistant to the President, and Hanan Al Mokdad, Communications Officer, highlighted the organisation’s dedication to building strong partnerships and fostering meaningful engagement with international stakeholders.
Founded in 1979 by Dr Kamel Mohanna, Amel Association International is a leading Lebanese non-governmental, non-sectarian organisation. Through a network of centres and mobile units nationwide, it runs 17 programs covering healthcare, social protection, education, humanitarian response, and community development, bringing support to the country’s most vulnerable communities.
