Mr Yazrin Syakhairi Mahlan, the new Consul (Trade) / Trade Commissioner of MATRADE Jeddah, held a virtual meeting with Ambassador Azri to discuss strengthening trade and investment ties between Malaysia and Lebanon. Ambassador Azri reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to deepening economic relations and highlighted Lebanon’s improving stability with promising market potential.
Mr Yazrin outlined MATRADE’s strategic priorities, including collaboration with international financial institutions to support Lebanon’s recovery, encouraging Malaysian involvement in Lebanon’s reconstruction and expanding palm oil exports in partnership with the Malaysian Palm Oil Council. Both sides agreed on the importance of proactive efforts to boost bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
