H.E Ilango Karuppannan had meetings on 23 and 30 September 2010 with Lebanese senior civil servants who will be participating in a study tour to Malaysia. The study tour which will take place from 4-8 October 2010 is designed for the senior officials to learn about Malaysia’s experiences and achievements in the public sector. A total of eight senior civil servants from various Ministries and agencies, covering the fields of public service and administration, tourism, education, agriculture, trade and investment and information and communication technology will participate in the study tour.
During the meetings, the Ambassador informed about the programmes that have been arranged for the study tour and expressed hope that the visit would enable the participants to gain maximum benefit from Malaysia’s experiences and also to share their experiences with their Malaysian counterparts. The Lebanese civil servants expressed appreciation to the Malaysian government for its willingness to host the study tour and share experiences and knowledge in the developments of its public sector.
