Memorial Ceremony for the Late Lieutenant Colonel Habibullah bin Ismail
On 8 February 2012, His Excellency Ambassador Ilango Karuppannan attended a memorial ceremony for the late Lieutenant Colonel Habibullah bin Ismail who passed away on Monday, 6 February 2012 due to health problem. The deceased was previously attached to UNIFIL’s Headquarter office in Naquora under the Malaysian peacekeeping mission in Lebanon.
The memorial ceremony which was organised by UNIFIL and Lebanese Armed Forces was also attended by UNIFIL Force Commander Major General Paolo Serra and Malaysia’s Honorary Consul in Lebanon, Dato’ Omar Jundi.
