H.E Ilango Karuppannan presented the copy of credentials of his appointment as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Lebanon to H.E Ali Shami, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon on 19 February 2010 at the latter's office. During the meeting, H.E Ilango Karuppannan took the opportunity to express Malaysia?s commitment to further expand bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries which was also shared by H.E Ali Shami.
Prior to that, H.E Ilango Karuppannan paid a courtesy call on H.E Georges Siam, the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon during which the latter gave assurance to continue rendering assistance for the benefit of Malaysia-Lebanon bilateral relations. YBhg Datuk Omar Jundi, the Malaysian Honorary Consul-General was also present during the courtesy calls.
