Presentation of United Nations Medals to Malaysian Soldiers
On 2 May 2013 His Excellency Ambassador ILANGO KARUPPANNAN together with the Force Commander of UNIFIL Major General Paolo Serra presented United Nations medals to the Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT 5) troops for their service in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) at a medal parade ceremony at the Malaysian camp in Tibnin, south Lebanon. A total of 116 soldiers received medals for their service and contribution as peacekeepers.
