All the members of the third batch of Malaysian Contingent (MALCON III) serving under UNIFIL banner safely arrived in Lebanon in two batches, i.e. on 20 and 29 July 2008 to replace the members of MALCON II who have successfully completed their peacekeeping mission and have done the nation proud.
The MALCON III members will be staying at MALCON's camp in Kaoukaba, southern Lebanon for 9 months except for female officers/staff. Besides the MALCON III members in Kaoukaba, there are 6 other MALCON officers who are based in Naqoura, the headquarters of UNIFIL, also in southern Lebanon.
