| The main purpose of the visit which was made from 16 to 21 July 2009 was to boost the morale of the Malaysian troops currently serving in a peace-keeping mission under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). The visit also provided the opportunity for the Minister to meet his counterpart from Lebanon, H.E Elias Murr in which they had a fruitful discussion towards strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of defence. |
