The ASEAN Rabat Committee (ACR) hosted a reception in honour of the participants of the Training Course for ASEAN Diplomats on 6 March 2017. The reception was held at the Official Residence of the Ambassador of Thailand to Morocco who is currently the Chair of the ACR.
The inaugural course is organized by the Moroccan Academy for Diplomatic Studies (AMED) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Morocco from 27th February – 9 March 2017. The participants will have the opportunity to learn more about Morocco’s foreign policy as well as well as to discuss opportunities and potentials in having a stronger ASEAN-Morocco relations. Malaysia was represented by Mrs. Kalpana A/P Rajantran, Assistant Director of the ASEAN-Malaysia National Secretariat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia
During the reception, the participants had the opportunity to exchange views with the ASEAN Heads of Mission in Rabat, the ASEAN diplomatic corps as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development of Morocco namely Mr. Mounir Belayachi, Head of Asia Division and H.E. Abdelilah El Housni, Ambassador of Morocco to the Kingdom of Thailand.
