On 7 September 2011, the 3 ASEAN missions resident in Lima, Peru namely the Embassy of Malaysia, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand, with the collaboration of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PCUP), had successfully co-organized an ASEAN event so-called ASEAN Day. The purpose of the joint outreach programme was to promote the regional organisation in conjunction with the 44th anniversary of ASEAN in 2011. The event was divided into three segments, i.e. the exhibition of ASEAN and a seminar on ASEAN held in the PCUP; and a cocktail reception at the Residence of the Indonesia Ambassador to Peru.
Pada 7 September 2011, tiga perwakilan ASEAN di Lima, Peru iaitu Kedutaan Besar Malaysia, Indonesia dan Thailand telah berjaya menganjur bersama Hari ASEAN dengan kerjasama Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PCUP). Anjuran bersama program tersebut adalah bertujuan mempromosikan organisasi serantau tersebut sempena ulang tahun ASEAN ke-44 pada tahun 2011. Upacara pada hari tersebut terbahagi kepada 3 bahagian, iaitu pameran ASEAN dan seminar ASEAN yang berlangsung di PCUP, dan satu resepsi koktel yang diadakan di Kediaman Duta Besar Indonesia di Peru.
