| On 31 March 2025, the Embassy of Malaysia in Peru radiated with warmth, joy, and festivity as it proudly hosted a dazzling Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House. Malaysians and international friends gathered under one roof to revel in the spirit of togetherness, creating a vibrant mosaic of cultures and cherished connections. Among the distinguished guests were top officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Heads of Mission and representatives, Peruvian government and agency representatives, academics, media personalities, and treasured members of the Malaysian diaspora. This open house was a heartfelt testament to unity, gratitude, and the exquisite beauty of cultural appreciation—a truly unforgettable occasion. The highlight of the day was the spectacular feast, an ode to Malaysia’s culinary artistry with the collaboration and facilitation by Perwakilan Lima. Chicken Satay, tender skewers marinated to perfection and served with a rich, nutty peanut sauce, stole the spotlight as an all-time festive favorite. The legendary Rendang, a slow-cooked beef dish bursting with aromatic spices and creamy coconut milk, represented the comfort and warmth of Hari Raya traditions. Kuah Lodeh, a flavorful vegetable stew paired with soft rice cakes, offered a hearty addition to the spread. The crowd-pleasing Mee Goreng, stir-fried noodles packed with savory goodness, delighted guests of every age. Completing the feast was a stunning medley of traditional kuih muih, including delightful treats like Sagu Gula Melaka, Kuih Cara Berlauk, Kuih Bakar, and delicate Pandan Cupcakes and Marble Cakes, filling hearts and plates with nostalgia, sweetness, and joy. And no celebration would be complete without iconic drinks—Teh Tarik, the frothy "pulled tea," and the creamy sweetness of Air Jagung added a final touch of indulgence to this gastronomic experience. This open house was much more than a feast—it was a heartfelt celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri's core values: generosity, love, and the ties that bind us all.
