On 8 February 2012, the Embassy of Malaysia in Lima organised a Hi Tea for the Malaysians living in Lima, Peru. This is among the many activities held by the Embassy to reach out to the Malaysians in Peru.

The function begins with a welcoming speech by the H.E. Ambassador, Datuk Ayauf Bachi, and followed by hi-tea in the Embassy’s garden. The guests were served with Malaysian famous delicacies such as fried noodles, goreng pisang, the tarik, fruits, cakes and jelly. During the function, a simple lucky draw contest was held and about 15 hampers were given to the lucky ones by the Ambassador.

The Embassy officers and staff took this opportunity to migle around and get closer to the Malaysians who attended the function. In general, the function was successful and reached its objectives as it serves as a platform to establish network among Malaysians. The Embassy is also planning to host its next gathering in May this year.
