Pada hari Sabtu, 23 Ogos 2008, TYT Ahmad Izlan Idris dan Puan Rose binti Abdullah, isteri beliau telah tiba di Lima, Peru untuk menjalankan tugas sebagai Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Peru. Beliau telah disambut oleh seorang Pegawai daripada Bahagian Protokol dan Istiadat Kementerian Luar Negeri Peru dan Setiausaha Ketiga Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Lima.

On Saturday, 23 August 2008, His Excellency Ahmad Izlan Idris and Mrs. Rose binti Abdullah arrived in Lima, Peru to assume his duty as Ambassador of Malaysia. They were received by an official from the National Division of Protocol and Ceremonial of the State, Ministry of foreign Affairs of Peru and the Third Secretary of the Embassy of Malaysia in Lima.

El sábado, 23 de agosto de 2008, Su Excelencia Ahmad Izlan Idris y Sra. Rose binti Abdullah llegaron a Lima, Perú para asumir sus funciones como Embajador de Malasia. Fueron recibidos por el Funcionario de la Dirección Nacional de Protocolo y Ceremonial del Estado, Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores del Perú y el Tercer Secretario de la Embajada de Malasia en Lima.
