TYT Ayauf Bachi, Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Peru telah menyerahkan Surat Watikah perlantikan beliau kepada TYT President Ollanta Humala Tasso, Presiden Republik Peru pada 19 September 2011. Majlis tersebut yang telah diadakan dengan penuh istiadat di Istana President (Palacio de Gobierno) telah berlangsung dari jam 9:00 pagi (10:00 malam waktu Malaysia) dan berakhir pada jam 10:30 pagi (10:30 malam waktu Malaysia). Majlis tersebut juga telah disiarkan secara langsung melalui Channel 7, Televisyen Peru. Antara acara istiadat Majlis tersebut ianya melibatkan tabik hormat ke atas barisan pengawal istana, diikuti dengan lagu kebangsaan dan juga penyerahan Surat Watikah Ketua Negara perwakilan-perwakilan yang terlibat. Barisan duta-duta besar asing yang terlibat dalam acara tersebut ialah TYT Duta Besar India dan TYT Duta Besar El Salvador di samping TYT Ayauf Bachi. TYT President Humala telah menerima surat perlantikan duta-duta besar tersebut di Balai Emas (Golden Salon) istana tersebut dan ianya turut dihadiri oleh YB Menteri Luar Peru, H.E. Rafael Roncagliolo dan Ketua Setiausaha kepada Istana Presiden (Head of Chamberline). Dari pihak Kedutaan Malaysia, Setiausaha Ketiga Encik Rosfan Ramlee dan penterjemah telah turut sama hadir. Semasa sessi perbincangan tertutup dua hala, TYT President Humala telah menyatakan bahawa Peru meletakkan hubungan Peru dengan Malaysia adalah penting, khususnya di kalangan negara-negara di rantau Asia. Beliau berharap dengan kehadiran saya selaku Duta Besar baru Malaysia, hubungan dua hala akan dapat dipertingkatkan lagi di peringkat rasmi dan juga ekonomi serta perdagangan. Beliau menjemput Malaysia menyertai program penyatuan sosialnya (social inclusion) yang baru diketengah oleh kerajaan beliau. Selain itu beliau juga berharap Malaysia boleh berkongsi kepakarannya dalam bidang ini. Program ini melibatkan aktiviti pembangunan luar bandar dan merapatkan jurang ekonomi di antara masyarakat kota dengan luar bandar yang begitu ketara. Menurut beliau Malaysia sebagai negara Asia yang mempunyai pengalaman luas dalam bidang ini akan dapat membantu Peru untuk program tersebut. TYT Ayauf merakamkan penghargaan beliau ke atas TYT Presiden Humala kerana meluangkan masa untuk menerima beliau mengadap dan menyempurnakan Majlis Penyerahan Watikah tersebut. Beliau memberi keyakinan akan berusaha untuk meningkat dan merapatkan lagi hubungan dua hala, khususnya dalam bidang ekonomi dan perdagangan. Minat Kerajaan Peru untuk menimba kepakaran dan modal dalam program pembangunan luar bandar dan wilayah akan dipanjangkan kepada pihak berkenaan di Malaysia.

Majlis penyerahkan watikah tersebut merupakan barisan duta-duta besar asing yang ulung kali bagi TYT Presiden Humala, selepas beliau ditauliahkan sebagai Presiden Republik Peru pada 28 Julai lalu.
Presenting Letter of Credence to His Excellency Ollanta Humala Tasso, The President of the Republic of Peru
His Excellency Ayauf Bachi, Malaysian Ambassador to the Republic of Peru had presented his Letter of Credential to His Excellency President Ollanta Humala Tasso, President of the Republic of Peru, on September 19th, 2011. The ceremony was held in the Presidential Palace (Palacio de Gobierno) from 9:00am (10:00pm Malaysian time) till 10:30 (11:30pm Malaysian time). It was aired live on a Peruvian channel, Channel 7. The highlights of the ceremony included the ceremonial salute to the line of the palace guards, followed by the national anthem of each the sending states and the submission of the Letter of Credentials by each of their respective ambassadors. The new batch of foreign ambassadors who are involved in this event were His Excellency the Ambassador of India and Her Excellency Ambassador of El Salvador as well as His Excellency Ayauf Bachi. His Excellency President Humala had officially received the original copy of the letter of credence send by each head of states of the country involved presented by the respective ambassadors in the palace’s Golden Salon, which was also atended by the Foreign Minister of Peru, His Excellency Rafael Roncagliolo and the Secretary General of the Presidential Palace (Head of Chamberline). From the Embassy of Malaysia, the Third Secretary, Mr. Rosfan Ramlee, and the translator were also present. During the two-way private talks, His Excellency President Humala has clearly mentioned that Peru considers its bilateral relations with Malaysia are important, especially among the countries in Asia. He hoped that with the presence of Malaysia’s new ambassador today, the bilateral relations of Peru and Malaysia will be further enhanced at the oficial level as well as with the business and trading communities of both countries. He invited Malaysia to participate in social and rural development programs (social inclusion) that were recently focused on by his government. In addition, he also hoped that Malaysia can share its related expertise in this field. This program involves rural development and narrowing down the economic gap between the cities and rural communities which is very significant. He considered Malaysia as an Asian country that have vast experience in this field and will be able to help Peru for this program. His Excellency Ayauf Bachi thanked His Excellency President Humala for taking the time to receive his audience and avails himself for the ceremony. He had given his assurance and will strive himself out to improve and strengthen the bilateral relations, especially in the fields of economy and trade. The Peruvian Government’s interest in gaining expertise and capital in the program for the development of rural regions will be forwarded to the relevant authorities in Malaysia.
The ceremony for this batch of foreign ambassadors was the maiden occasion for His Excellency President Humala, after he was sworned-in as the President of the Republic of Peru on July 28th.
