MALAYSIA WORLD ENDURANCE RIDE 2013
The 1 Malaysia World Endurance Ride 2013 (1MWIER) bikers team has reached Lima, Peru on 30 March 2014. The bikers team with the support from Y.A.B. Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, has been travelling around the world bringing the message of the Global Movement of Moderates (GMM), that propagating moderation for peace to the world and at the same time, promoting Visit Malaysia Year 2014.
During their stay in Peru, the bikers had a smooth journey and acquainted many sights and culture of Peru. TYT Datuk Duta Besar hosted a dinner with some influential local personalities and Malaysians residing here, at his official residence. In realizing the team’s main agenda, the Embassy had organized a special press conference for 1MWER 2013 to promote Global Movement of Moderates (GMM) spirit and Visit Malaysia Year 2014. The press conference received a good response from the local media, with 3 TV Channels, 1 newspaper and 2 magazines were present. Willy TV had a special program for the team ‘Daily activities of 1MWER 2013’ which were featured in its Good Morning Lima programme on 12 April 2014. The flag-off ceremony was held at the Embassy on 3 April 2014.
