H.E. Ambassador Chuah Teong Ban attended a talk by Professor Dr. Lili Yuyaldi Arnakim, Director of Latin American Studies of University Malaya on 17 February 2016 at the San Marcos University in Lima. Since this talk is held in the context of bilateral agreement between University Malaya and San Marcos University, Ambassador Chuah was invited to give an introductory remark.
In his remarks, H.E. Ambassador welcomed such initiative that would promote people-to-people connectivity to broaden and deepen the understanding of cultures, social norms, history and tradition values of the two regions. Ambassador Chuah also proposed for San Marcos University to establish a Center for Asian Studies given that University Malaya has already established a Center for Latin American Studies.
