Young Peruvians in Lima had a chance to learn more about Malaysian cuisine under the programme “Muni Becas” jointly organized by the Embassy of Malaysia in Peru and the Municipality of Lima. The cooking demonstration was held at the IDATEC (Institute of Education) on Monday, 24 October 2016. The objective of this programme is to help youngsters to learn new knowledge in international cuisine.

An introduction to the Malaysian cuisine was conducted by the representative of the Embassy of Malaysia on the preparation of ever popular cuisine namely Nasi Lemak Sambal Udang, Cucur Bawang Bersayur, Jemput-Jemput Pisang and drink, Teh Tarik. All the youngsters were indeed eager and happy with this memorable experience. They are very keen to put what they have learnt to practice, beginning at home, so that other Peruvians can also taste Malaysian cuisines.
