The Embassy of Malaysia in Lima hosted the annual MTCP alumni gathering on 5 May 2016. About 15 Peruvian civil servants who had participated in the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) attended the get-together which was held in the chancery of the Embassy.
In his opening remarks, H.E. Chuah Teong Ban thanked the Alumni members for participating in the event. He highlighted that such get-together could be a platform in strengthening the people-to-people link between Malaysia and Peru. Furthermore, the Ambassador suggested that the group be formally established as an alumni in the next gathering by having an election of Board Members. The elected committee members then be able to organize and plan activities to introduce MTCP courses in specific and Malaysia in general to Peruvian community. The Embassy also served finger foods, arroz con pato and drinks to the attendees.
