H.E Ambassador Chuah Teong Ban, Second Secretary Syed Ahmad Naufal and his family had an outdoor activity on a Sunday morning cycling around the Parque de Pentagonito in Lima on 31 March 2019. Besides the sporting aspect and practicing healthy lifestyle, our participation at the bicycling event was also to take part in the 4th Annual Bicycle Ride co-organized by the Embassy of Palestine and the Arabic Club of Peru, with the theme “Todos Por Palestina” (All for Palestine).
The Embassy of Malaysia in Lima has been steadfastly support this noble political Palestinian cause since its inaugural event in 2016. Peruvians came in droves, around 1,500 cyclists, to support and promote the cause of Palestinians who were forcibly displaced to make way for the creation of the state of Israel. The awareness in Peru on the Palestinian plight is increasing in the recent years.
Through our partaking of the cycling activities, we hope to instill a healthy lifestyle in our daily wellbeing and also to foster good camaraderie among ourselves. Above all, the most important thing is to always practice and maintain healthy lifestyle with the right attitude.
