H.E. Ambassador Chuah Teong Ban was invited by University San Marcos in Lima to give a lecture on 26 September 2017 to students of social science about Malaysia’s experience in managing the unity in diversity in Malaysia. The University San Marcos is the oldest university in America region, founded in 1551 and has signed an MOU with University of Malaya.
In his lecture, Ambassador Chuah Teong Ban briefly introduced Malaysia and then elaborated on its diversity in various aspects such as ethnicities, languages, religions, foods, festivals and how we, Malaysians, can work and live together in harmony. Malaysia’s success story in maintaining a plural society living and working harmoniously based on unity in diversity concept is indeed marvelled by the Peruvian scholars.
