As the chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Lima (ACL), the Embassy of Malaysia hosted the 3rd ACL Meeting on 19 October 2017 at the Chancery. It was the first meeting hosted by the Embassy after taking over chairmanship from Indonesia on 24 July 2017.
Chaired by H.E. Chuah Teong Ban, Ambassador of Malaysia, the meeting was attended by H.E. Moenir Ari Soenanda, Ambassador of Indonesia and Mr Angkara Kulvanij, Charge d’Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy. The Meeting also took the opportunity to welcome a new member of the ACL Working Group, Ms. Lidya Karlin Ndeon from the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia.
It provided a platform for the ACL Ambassadors and members to review activities held throughout the year particularly in conjuntion of the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN. The meeting also discussed upcoming activities and engagements with the local media in the next coming months.
