TYT Ayauf Bachi menyertai Forum Minum Pagi bertajuk: Lima, Bandaraya Untuk Melabur (Lima, una Ciudad para Invertir) pada Selasa 4hb Oktober 2011 di Hotel Westin, San Isidro, Lima, Peru
Forum tersebut dianjurkan oleh Majlis Bandaraya Lima dan dihoskan oleh Datuk Bandaraya, Puan Susana Villarán. Seramai 12 orang ahli forum yang terdiri dari beberapa orang usahawan yang terkemuka, seorang ahli akademia yang juga merupakan bekas Menteri Ekonomi dan Kewangan Peru, YB Menteri Perumahan, Pembinaan dan juga Saliran serta beberapa orang akademia yang lain.
Di dalam ucap tamanya, Datuk Bandar Susana telah menekankan bahawa Dewan Bandaraya Lima sedang melaksanakan pelbagai usaha untuk meningkatkan ketelusan pentadbirannya dan juga memupuk hubungan mesra pelanggan dengan pihak-pihak yang berminat untuk melabur dalam projek-projek pembangunan Lima pada masa ini. Menurut beliau lagi, Bandaraya Lima yang menguasai 41% daripada Pendapatan Dalam Negeri Kasar Peru telah mengujudkan permintaan yang besar Lima supaya meningkatkan lagi kemudahan infrastruktur bandaraya itu. Berlandaskan hujah tersebut beliau telah menyeru para pelabur untuk bekerjasama segandingan dengan Dewan Bandaraya Lima untuk membangunkan Lima supaya menjadi sebuah kotaraya yang kompetitif dengan mempunyai kemudahan hidup yang lebih selesa seperti pusat pendidikan tinggi yang maju, kemudahan kesihatan dan kesejahteraan penduduk yang lebih baik.
Pengarah Institut Kompetitif dan Pelajaran, Universiti San Martin de Porres yang juga merupakan bekas YB Menteri Ekonomi dan Kewangan telah memberi taklimat mengenai kedudukan ekonomi dan tahap persaingan Bandaraya Lima berbanding kebanyakan bandaraya utama di dunia, khusus bandaraya negara jiran terdekat seperti Santiago dan Bogota.
Beberapa tokoh usahawan terkemuka telah berkongsi pengalaman pelaburan mereka di Lima dan juga mengemukakan pandangan mereka terhadap peluang pelaburan baru di Lima, khususnya dalam bidang kemudahan dan infrastruktur.
YB René Cornejo Diaz, Menteri Perumahan, Pembinaan dan Saliran adalah merupakan ahli forum yang utama. Beliau telah menggariskan dasar semasa kerajaan dan menekankan betapa pentingnya penglibatan sektor swasta dan awam dalam usaha untuk membangunkan Bandaraya Lima sebagai bandaraya yang lebih baik. Beliau telah memberi jaminan bahawa kerajaan akan mengamalkan dasar yang memberi jaminan ke atas pelaburan para pelabur.
Forum tersebut telah mendapat sambutan yang baik dengan menyaksikan penyertaan lebih dari 400 orang yang terdiri daripada para pelabur tempatan dan juga beberapa pelabur asing dari Brazil dan beberapa usahawan dari Asia Timur, seperti China dan Korea Selatan serta beberapa wakil kedutaan asing.
Malawakil Lima berpendapat Bandaraya Lima sedang mengalami proses pembangunan semula di peringkat awalan dan faktor ekonomi semasa yang positif akan mendorong para pelabur untuk menimba peluang pelaburan di sini. Berdasarkan pandangan tersebut pihak Kedutaan Besar Malaysia ingin menyeru syarikat-syarikat Malaysia untuk meninjau dan menjejaki peluang-peluang pelaburan ini, terutamanya syarikat-syarikat Malaysia yang mempunyai kepakaran dalam bidang pembangunan infrastruktur kotaraya (seperti Projek Lebuh Raya La Molina ke Santiago de Surco, hub pengangkutan awam Lima (bas/teksi), pemulihan bangunan-bangunan sejarah di Lima (pelancongan), pusat dagang, pasar borong utama dan juga gudang-gudang stok Bandaraya).

His Excellency Ambassador Ayauf Bachi participation in the Breakfast Forum entitled “Lima, A City to Invest” (Lima, Una Ciudad para Invertir) on Tuesday, October 4th at Westin Lima Hotel, in San Isidro, Lima
The forum was organized by the Municipal government of Lima and hosted by the Mayor of Lima, Mrs. Susana Villaran. There were 12 speakers comprising of prominent businessmen, academicians, as well as the Minister of Housing, Construction and Sanitation and the former Minister of Economy and Finances.
During her remarks, Mayor Susana Villaran has highlighted that the Municipality is making all its efforts to deliver more transparent and friendly business links to potential investors to participate in the current development programs of the municipality. She further added that Lima represents 41% of the country’s GDP and that has created a big demand for Lima to be equipped with better infrastructure and other Metropolitan facilities. In that notes, she has invited investors to work hand in hand with her municipality to create Lima to be a more competitive city with better living facilities like advance tertiary education, better health and security services.
The audience was enlightened about the economic situation and Lima comparative positions against other big cities all around the world, as well as neighboring cities such as Santiago and Bogota. In brief, a prominent academician, Mr. Luis Carranza Ugarte, Director of the Institute for Competitiveness and Development of San Martin de Porres University and also former Minister of Economy and Finances has provided the audience with a better picture of the current investment potentials and business opportunities, waiting to be tapped-in by investors.
The forum also invited few prominent businessmen to share their experiences and views on the immediate investment potentials of Lima city in the fields of infrastructure and public amenities.
A prominent special speaker was also invited to speak, His Excellency René Cornejo Díaz, Minister of Housing, Construction and Sanitation. The Minister has outlined the Ministry’s assurance that it is important for public and private sectors to work hand in hand to create a better city for Limenians. To ensure their investment is secure, the Minister gave the assurances the government will protect the investments.
The forum had received a very good participation with more than 400 participants coming from the local investors and also some investors from Brazil as well as some businessmen from East Asia, China and Korea, plus representatives of a few embassies.
The Embassy feels that Lima is developing very progressively and the economic situation is quite promising for investors to tap its potentials. In view of that, the Embassy would like to encourage Malaysian companies to explore this opportunity, especially Malaysian companies which are strong in city infrastructure development and facilities (for example the Interconnecting Highway La Molina – Santiago de Surco, Publicity on Transport at the Stops of Public Urban Transport, Bus Station System for Metropolitan Lima, Urban Regeneration of the Historical Center of Lima, Convention Center, Tourist Circuit of the Ruins of Lima, Great Wholesale Market, Municipal Storages)

Participación del Excelentísimo Embajador Ayauf Bachi en el Foro – Desayuno titulado “Lima, Una Ciudad para Invertir” el día martes, 4 de octubre en el Westin Lima Hotel, en San Isidro, Lima.
El fórum fue organizado por el gobierno municipal de Lima y fue auspiciado por la Alcaldesa de Lima, la Sra. Susana Villaran. Estuvieron presentes 12 expositores que incluían destacados hombres de negocios, académicos, así como el Ministro de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento y el ex Ministro de Economía y Finanzas.
Durante su discurso, la Alcaldesa Susana Villarán ha resaltado que la Municipalidad se encuentra realizando todos sus esfuerzos para brindar contactos de negocios más transparentes y amigables con inversionistas potenciales para que participen en los actuales programas de desarrollo de la municipalidad. Además, añadió que Lima representa 41% del PBI del país y ello ha generado una gran demanda para que Lima esté equipada con mejor infraestructura y otras facilidades metropolitanas. Dentro de los comentarios, ha invitado a inversionistas a trabajar de la mano con su municipalidad para que Lima sea una ciudad más competitiva, con mejores facilidades para vivir como educación superior avanzada y mejores servicios de salud y seguridad.
El público fue ilustrado sobre la situación económica y la posición de Lima comparada con otras grandes ciudades alrededor del mundo, así como ciudades vecinas como Santiago y Bogotá. En resumen, un destacado académico, el Sr. Luis Carranza Ugarte, Director del Instituto para la Competitividad y Desarrollo de la Universidad San Martín de Porres y también ex Ministro de Economía y Finanzas ilustró al público con una mejor idea de los actuales potenciales de inversión y oportunidades de negocio esperando a ser aprovechadas por los inversionistas.
El foro también invitó a ciertos hombres de negocios destacados para que compartan sus experiencias y puntos de vista sobre los potenciales de inversión inmediatos de la ciudad de Lima en las áreas de infraestructura e instalaciones públicas.
Un destacado expositor especial también fue invitado a exponer, el Excelentísimo Señor René Cornejo Díaz, Ministro de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento. El Ministro ha hecho un resumen sobre la certeza del Ministerio en que es importante que el sector público y el sector privado trabajen de la mano para crear una mejor ciudad para los limeños. Para asegurar que sus inversiones están seguras, el Ministro les aseguró que el gobierno protegerá sus inversiones.
El foro recibió una muy buena participación de parte de inversionistas locales y también algunos inversionistas de Brasil, así como algunos empresarios del Este Asiático, China y Corea, además de representantes de algunas embajadas.
La Embajada siente que Lima se está desarrollando de manera progresiva y que la situación económica es bastante prometedora para que los inversionistas exploten sus potenciales. En vista de ello, la Embajada quisiera alentar a que las empresas de Malasia exploren esta oportunidad, especialmente aquellas empresas de Malasia con experiencia el desarrollo de instalaciones e infraestructura urbana (por ejemplo la Interconexión La Molina – Santiago de Surco, Publicidad en Paraderos de Transporte Público Urbano, Sistema de Terminales para Lima Metropolitana, Regeneración Urbana del Centro Histórico de Lima, Centro de Convenciones, Circuito Turístico de las Ruinas de Lima, Gran Mercado Mayorista de Lima, Depósitos Municipales).
