| On 10 December 2024, HE Ahmad Irham Ikmal Hisham attended Working Lunch Meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Lima (ACL) hosted by the Embassy of the Republic Indonesia. During the programme, the Embassy of the Republic Indonesia as the Chair of ACL 2024, handed over the Chairmanship to the Embassy of Malaysia for the year 2025. In his speech, HE Ahmad Irham Ikmal Hisham congratulated the Embassy of the Republic Indonesia on the success of all ACL´s programme in 2024. In addition, he also mentioned that ACL is a very important platform to promote awareness of ASEAN among the public, including policy makers and academics. As an avenue to build solidarity between the members, he expressed the readiness the Embassy of Malaysia to lead the ACL for the year 2025. The guest also has been briefed by HE Ahmad Irham Ikmal Hisham on snapshot of Malaysia´s main priorities next year, among others to fortify ASEAN centrality; to push for greater commitment to enhance ASEAN intra-trade and investment; and to ensure that the elements of inclusivity, and sustainability, which is the theme for 2025, take centre stage in our regional Community building efforts. |
