On Tuesday, 2nd February, 2016, CG Abdullah attended Sheikh Mufti Ismail Menk talk at SMX Convention Center in Davao City.
Fareedatun Nissa Foundation hosted the activity which has the theme “Challenges of the Chosen” at SMX Convention Center, Lanang, Davao City.
The two international lecturers, whose previous lectures are also available in social media and youtube, are popular especially among the Muslim youth. Mufti Ismail Menk and Brother Wael Ibrahim advocate respect to life and strongly condemn terroristic acts perpetrated by extremists.
They have been in the Philippines in the past couple of years to share their knowledge on Islam particularly educating the Muslim youth on how to deal with the challenges of the era where prohibited drugs, music, vices, computer games and pornography are trending.
Notable personality present were Davao City Grand Mufti Aleem Pasingan from Ecoland Mosque, Deputy Mayor of Maranao Tribe Hon. Randy Usman, Davao City Madrasah School Director Aleem Jamal Moneb and Mercy Islamic Center Founder/President Sheikh Khulaqui.
